Contacted the dealer today who say the Cadiz should arrive there next Tuesday according to Bailey.
Then again I wouldn't believe Bailey if they said today was Thursday ( which it is ) so we shall have to see.
Bailey have seriously gone down in my estimation, they just don't appear to care one jot.
If it doesn't arrive then serious discussions are going to take place.
I have even thought of packing caravanning up altogether as this ridiculous delay ( or "slippage" as Bailey call it ) has really taken the shine off getting a new van and I sometimes wish we hadn't bothered, seven months wait is not acceptable.
For £21K we could have had half a dozen Caribbean cruises.
Ian
Ian your nearly there.Hang in, you will love the van once your away.
ReplyDeleteLike Bill says, all be over soon. Lets hope it's as expected and not too many snags. Malcolm
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement chaps,I hope it is not misplaced.
ReplyDeleteI hope there are not too many snags as well,I have a checklist a foot long to go through before it leaves the dealers premises.
Ian
Good luck we are watching your blog with added interest as we to are awaiting our Cadiz. We are onto our third supplied date from the dealer and we too have a handover date which is the 21st of this month which we really need to happen as we are booked at Henley cc site on the 22nd fir a week. We are hoping if you get yours this has got to be a good omen for us 😀 fingers crossed all round

Peter,I hope.your Cadiz arrives on time but my faith in Bailey is at rock bottom.Isn't this a farcical situation, you wouldn't believe that we are customers and Bailey is charging us handsomely to provide a service.
ReplyDeleteWe all appear to be dancing to Bailey's tune.
Ian
We are really hoping that Bailey can do better for us this time than they did 5 years ago. As we were one of those unlucky/ lucky few who bought the first alutec Pegasus we were really really excited to be the first to buy into the new way of caravan construction. Boy oh boy was that frustrating to a point we don't like to think about it. Now for a fresh start and here we are please oh please Bailey don't let us down.
DeleteJust imagine the frustration of all us followers it been a long wait for us too.
ReplyDeleteSo don't you dare consider giving up caravanning.
Just hope all is ok with the van when you get it
Mark,When we pick it up I will be there first thing in the morning and won't be leaving with the van until I am satisfied.
DeleteAlthough this is my third blog I still find it surreal when people like Mark say "all of us followers" as when I write these missives I find it difficult to believe that people are actually reading them up and down the country.
Thanks for following the blog.
