Swapped the van battery over today as I have two,one in the van and one at home on charge.
For any new readers I thought I would repeat some advice given a while ago.
When replacing/reconnecting the battery don't forget to remove the fuse from the solar panel ( Truma say to cover the panel but removing the fuse is easier ) replacing the fuse afterwards of course.
The solar panel fuse can be found under the near side rear bed in a bundle of wires adjacent to the fridge and is blue in colour.
If you don't remove the fuse or cover the panel it can damage the controller which is an expensive mistake.

Alde Drain/Vent Points
A chap on CT posted this useful diagram of the drain/vent points on the Alde network in the U3 Cadiz if anyone fancies changing their own fluid.

Prepare To be Bored.
We have just had a four night return visit the CC The Firs near Belper in Derbyshire which is becoming one of our favourite sites, the two wardens work really hard to keep it spotless.
Had a close shave on the journey down as we came across half a bed in the inside lane of the M1,just managed to brake and avoid it.
Miraculously the warden recognised us from our previous visit a few months ago which is something considering the number of visitors they must get.
The Cadiz was faultless, there I told you it was boring ( long may boredom continue ).
Had another visit to Hardwick Hall and one to Sudbury Hall, both worth a visit.
There we are all done and dusted.

Isabella Fixons.
For a while I have had this problem with the Fixons on our Isabella Magnum :-
Anyway I eventually e-mailed Isabella and got his reply :-
Anyway I eventually e-mailed Isabella and got his reply :-
Thank you for your
enquiry. From the image you have sent, it would appear that your Fix On
bracket needs to be repositioned. To achieve the optimal fit, it needs to
be aligned with the seam on the side of the awning so that the bracket is
situated half outside the awning canvas. Once this has been done and the
roof rafter fully tensioned, this should alleviate the problem.
So if anyone is having the same problem that is the solution.

Beechwood Grange
Well family problems seem to have subsided slightly so we have had five nights at CC Beechwood Grange on the outskirts of York, three nights with grandkids and two nights without.
We have stayed at Beechwood many times before so I won't retread old views apart from saying it is worth a visit if in the vicinity, the wardens work really hard to present a well turned out site.
As for the Cadiz, well nothing to report I am glad to say even with two kids giving it some hammer, everything worked as it should.
There are still reports on Caravan Talk of Baileys leaking through the roof join, they really should have got a handle on this by now.
On the awning front I was pondering swapping awnings from our Isabella Magnum to an Isabella Magnum 250 Coal which is 30cm deeper than our standard Magnum which would give us a little bit more room.
Had a look at a couples on site and they seemed well pleased,SWMBO said we shouldn't spend the money but what do SWMBO's know ?
Will have look at the NEC show on October as there might be a bit of discount.
